The Fortnight for Freedom: Freedom to Bear Witness will take place from June 21 to July 4, 2015, a time when our liturgical calendar celebrates a series of great martyrs who remained faithful in the face of persecution by political power—St. Thomas More and St. John Fisher, St. John the Baptist, SS. Peter and Paul, and the First Martyrs of the Church of Rome. The theme of this year's Fortnight will focus on the "freedom to bear witness" to the truth of the Gospel.
For the Solemnity of All Saints, we will celebrate a vigil Mass on Thursday, October 31st, at 7:30 pm, and on Friday, November 1st, we will celebrate Masses at 8:30 am, 12:00 pm (noon), and 7:30 pm. The Solemnity of All Saints is a holy day of obligation.
We celebrate the feast of Saint Maximilian Kolbe and our parish 30th anniversary at all our Masses the weekend of August 10th and 11th. Archbishop Cardinal DiNardo is celebrating the 11:30 am Mass with us. After the 11:30 am Mass, we gather for a reception in honor of Saint Maximilian Kolbe and our 30th anniversary!
Maximilian: Saint of Auschwitz, the moving, live production performed by Leonardo Defilippis of Saint Luke Productions, will be presented on Sunday, November 4th, at 7:00 pm, in the church.
Please prayerfully consider whether you or someone you know might be interested in serving St. Maximilian Kolbe through our Pastoral Council. Click here for more information.
