Mission Statement: The Fishers of Men is a fellowship ministry that focuses on encouraging men of our parish to become more proactive in living their faith. This is a training ground for the formation of disciples to commit, lead, and serve.
Commit: We commit to our vocations as priests, prophets, and kings for our families and our community. As Baptized Catholics, it is our right and duty to live according to this royal mission instituted by Jesus Christ, the King of Kings.
“The faithful exercise their baptismal priesthood through their participation, each according to his own vocation, in Christ’s mission as priest, prophet, and king.” (CCC, 1546)
Lead: While acting as a restorative spiritual flame for all A.C.T.S. and W.A.T.Ch Retreat brothers, our goal is to lead other men of the parish to become more active. This is a brotherhood of men who hold each other accountable and inspire each other to become the best version of ourselves possible. We are all leaders who share each other’s burdens and rejoice in each other’s victories.
“Through the exchange with others, mutual service and dialogue with his brethren, man develops his potential; he thus responds to his vocation.” (CCC, 1879)
Serve: We actively search for ways to serve our parish and the needs of the community. We are the hands of Christ to the world and the opportunities for involvement are endless.
“Lay believers are in the front line of Church life; for them the Church is the animating principle of human society.” (CCC, 899)
